  • 10 ml sherry

For garnish (optional):

  • Dehydrated orange

  • Grated chocolate

Method:

  1. Prepare the Espresso: Brew the espresso in advance and let it chill.

  2. Mix the Drink: Add the chilled espresso, cocoa nibs-infused rum, Irish cream liqueur, green chartreuse, and sherry into a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice.

  3. Shake: Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well chilled and combined.

  4. Strain: Fine strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.

  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with dehydrated orange slices and freshly grated chocolate for a beautiful finish.

Tips & Notes:

  • Infusing Rum: To make cocoa nibs-infused rum, add a small handful of cocoa nibs to a bottle of rum and let it infuse for a few days. Strain before using.

  • Adjusting Sweetness: The Irish cream liqueur adds sweetness, but if you prefer a sweeter drink, feel free to add a little extra. You can also try adding a dash of simple syrup if needed.

  • Chartreuse Substitute: If you don't have green chartreuse, you can substitute it with a herbal liqueur like absinthe or a slightly bitter vermouth for a different twist.

Pairing Suggestions:

  • Desserts: This martini pairs wonderfully with rich desserts like dark chocolate mousse, flourless chocolate cake, or a chocolate tart.

  • Snacks: Serve with indulgent snacks like chocolate truffles, caramel popcorn, or roasted salted nuts for a balanced combination of salty and sweet flavors.

  • Brunch or After-Dinner Drink: This Martini is perfect for an after-dinner drink or a unique brunch offering. Pair it with espresso-flavored desserts or a chocolate croissant.
